With more than 25 years in the healthcare industry, Jonah brings deep global experience in working with providers, healthcare IT and medical device manufacturers to improve operational performance, clinical quality and patient safety.
Jonah has held senior positions in a wide variety of commercial roles, encompassing not only teams in sales and business development, but also product management, clinical and client services. He assisted businesses ranging from start-up organisations, including commercialising technology from academic institutions, through to multi-billion dollar global healthcare companies. During his career has helped develop and bring to market numerous medical devices and technologies.
In digital health, Jonah has experience of right across all sectors of care provision from acute care through to community and mental health. He has worked with numerous clinical areas including radiology, pathology and critical care, as well as administration, business intelligence, finance and associated services. With his global experience, he has worked with EPRs which both follow a “best of breed” and “end to end” approach, which has also led to an in-depth knowledge of interfacing and interoperability to ensure clients gain the best solution for their needs.
Through working with healthcare organisations both in the NHS and around the world, Jonah understands and is able to leverage knowledge developed from numerous different types of healthcare systems and models.
Chief Operating Officer
Darren has over 20 years experience building focused recruitment and consulting businesses from scratch, Darren is a key driver and evangelist for Populo and our approach.
Building on the successes of several recruitment businesses, including IT Works Health, Darren has established a number of markets and helped develop them to be creditable business’s in their own right ensuring consistent year on year growth. This work has now grown from the UK to spanning Europe and the USA.
In 2015, responding to the evolving healthcare market in the UK. Darren took the decision to found Populo Consulting in order to offer solutions exclusively focused supporting digital health in the NHS.
As well as founding Populo, Darren devotes significant time to charity and philanthropic activities raising money for numerous good causes and is at the heart of the social responsibility activities for the company.
Client Services Director
Gary leads Populo’s client services team and processes. He has 15 years’ experience delivering programmes within or on behalf of NHS organisations. He has managed teams and services delivering across all areas of healthcare into primary and secondary care environments. Gary’s client services expertise is built on a foundation of delivering strategically important, commercially significant digital health and health care IT programmes.
He has a proven record of major programmes of transformation and key clinical systems into NHS acute Trusts, from inception and planning through all aspects of implementation through to the ongoing optimisation and configuration. With extensive experience of navigating the often unique cultures, structures and challenges of differing NHS organisations, he is able to assess, anticipate and meet client needs and expectations. He has knowledge of the relevant methodologies and techniques to provide quality processes, which efficiently deliver a range of services to clients
The application of his practical experience of process improvement consistently leads to realisation of positive outcomes and benefits.

Business Development Manager
From starting a career in healthcare IT recruitment and assisting numerous Trusts with the delivery of digital health systems and EPRs, such as Lorenzo, Kieran specialises in helping NHS organisations find ways to solve the complex challenges that they face.
Kieran acts as an advocate for our clients and helps them identify, specify and then create solutions that don’t simply fix problems, but solves them.
Kieran is one of the founding team members for Populo and in the five years he has worked in resourcing and consultancy, he has developed an in-depth understanding of digital health and the markets we operate in and sharing our experiences with different organisations.
Luke is a high-performing sales leader with strong sales and negotiation skills. possessing over ten years of account Management and business development roles in Healthcare IT.
He maintains a positive approach to client relations; including the development and management of business relationships, operations, economic performance and integration with the business across all levels and locations.
Luke has a strong focus on executing transformational growth and operational strategies to deliver business results. Strong influencing skills and capable of communicating well at all levels within an organisation. This is further supported from his ability to see the ‘bigger picture’ with a reputation amongst clients for problem solving by thinking ‘outside the box’ and adding value to the business through a pragmatic approach.
